How Your Cosmetic Visit Works

Every cosmetic plan at our West Chester office on East Marshall Street starts with a consultation. Here is what to expect:

  • Exam first: we check for cavities, gum problems and worn fillings, because these should be treated before any cosmetic work.
  • Digital records: photos and a scan with our intra-oral scanner replace messy impressions and give a clear record of your starting point.
  • A written plan: we explain which treatments fit your goals, the order to do them in, the number of visits and the cost.
  • Treatment: some changes, like ZOOM! Whitening, take one visit. Veneers and clear aligners take longer. Ceramic crowns can often be finished the same day.

Which Treatment Fits Your Smile

  • Stained or yellowed teeth: ZOOM! in-office whitening or professional teeth whitening.
  • Chips, small gaps or uneven tooth shapes: porcelain veneers.
  • Crooked or crowded teeth: clear aligners, a removable alternative to braces.
  • Cracked, heavily filled or badly discolored teeth: ceramic crowns, which restore strength as well as color.

Many West Chester patients combine treatments. A common order is aligners first, then whitening, then veneers or crowns. Whitening does not change the color of porcelain, so we match new crowns and veneers to your freshly whitened shade for an even result.

Cost, Insurance and Common Questions

What affects the price? The number of teeth treated, the material used, whether fillings or gum care are needed first, and how long aligner treatment runs. You will see exact figures in your written plan. [add: starting prices for whitening, veneers and clear aligners, if the practice wants to publish them]

Does insurance cover it? Purely cosmetic work usually isn’t covered. Crowns that restore a damaged tooth often are, at least in part. Ask us to review your benefits before you start. Payment options are on our Finance page, and the Smile Saver Plan is our in-house savings plan.

Is it reversible? Veneers usually require removing a thin layer of enamel, so they are a long-term commitment. Whitening and clear aligners do not remove tooth structure.
