Booking Your First Visit

New patients of every age are welcome at M.Y. Family Dentistry, from a child’s first checkup to a full mouth reconstruction consultation with Dr. Mina Yacoub or Dr. Robert M. Schwan. To make your first appointment smooth, have these ready when you call or arrive:

  • Your dental insurance card, or let us know if you are uninsured
  • A list of medications and any medical conditions
  • Recent X-rays from your previous dentist, if you have them
  • The main reason for your visit, such as a checkup, a toothache, a missing tooth or a cosmetic question

A first visit usually includes an oral exam, imaging if needed, and a clear explanation of any treatment we recommend before anything is scheduled.

Insurance, Costs and Payment Options

What you pay depends on three things: the treatment you need, whether it can be done in one visit or several, and your insurance coverage. Routine cleanings and exams are often covered under preventive benefits. Crowns, implants, All-on-X and clear aligners vary more from plan to plan.
